MMXXII - The Birth of the Delta

 

2022 was a year like no other. A quick reflection of the year and how it felt 

Rather than one of the actual Super heroes, or X men in the field, I felt a bit more like 'Professor X', Charles Francis Xavier. Felt at times like i was sitting in the 'Cerebro Room' where I was privy to lots of different pieces on Information, and could be in constant conversation with all the actual Superheroes, trying to provide good advice, and not send them on a wild goose chase.

 I also was aware of the consequences of making poor choices. It was hugely helpful to have the Senior Leaders, and Leadership Team, along with all the other important people who make it all possible. It seemed like we had to use our superpowers to help the humans and not let them succumb to the "EVIL DELTA FORCE". Sometimes I wished I was on the ground, helping the good guys defeat the 'EVIL DELTA FORCE", as it was a bit frustrating, but we were able to call on well built norms, and trust our Whakatauki, and go slow and together. WE probably could have gone faster, and done somethings differently, and I feel confident that we now have the experience, should this or similar event occur, to act more swiftly to achieve an even more positive result for more of those concerned. I believe we came away with a good result, and didn't have too many casualties along the way, and live to fight another day. I look forward to hearing the reflections from other perspectives, and look to construct ways to improve for 2022, and have a better understanding of what we need to do better to support our Community and Learners.
